Overview

This ATX motherboard pairs the AMD B850 chipset with the AM5 socket to support Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 series processors. It delivers PCIe 5.0 graphics and storage, DDR5 memory up to 8000 MT/s, and integrated Wi-Fi 7.

Platform and Memory

The board uses the AMD B850 chipset on an ATX form factor with a pre-installed I/O shield. Four UDIMM slots accept up to 192 GB of DDR5 memory and support AMD EXPO profiles for speeds up to 8000 MT/s when overclocked. ECC memory is also supported for data integrity.

Expansion and Storage

A PCIe 5.0 x16 slot handles modern graphics cards while a second x16 slot runs at PCIe 4.0 x4. Five M.2 sockets provide two PCIe 5.0 x4 and three PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe connections, each covered by a heatsink. Four SATA 6 Gbps ports remain available for additional drives.

Connectivity and I/O

The rear panel includes a USB4 Type-C port at 40 Gbit/s, one USB 3.2 Type-C, six USB 3.1 Type-A, and four USB 2.0 Type-A ports. Video output uses HDMI and DisplayPort. Networking features a 5 Gbps LAN port, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. Internal headers add one USB 3.2 Type-C, one USB 3.0, and two USB 2.0 headers plus three 5V addressable RGB headers.

Power and Cooling Design

A 16+2+2 phase power stage design is cooled by substantial VRM heatsinks and a metal backplate. Dual 8-pin CPU power connectors ensure stable current for high-end processors. Eight 4-pin PWM fan headers allow comprehensive chassis and radiator control. BIOS FlashBack and Clear CMOS buttons simplify recovery.
