Overview

This ATX motherboard pairs the Intel Z890 chipset with the LGA 1851 socket for second-generation Core Ultra processors. It targets builders who need high-speed DDR5, extensive PCIe 5.0 storage, and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity.

Design and Power Delivery

The board uses a 16+1+2+1 VRM configuration cooled by integrated heatsinks. It fits the standard ATX form factor measuring 305 by 244 millimeters. Power input comes through a 24-pin ATX connector and two 8-pin ATX12V connectors.

Memory and Expansion

Four DIMM slots accept DDR5 memory up to 8600MT/s in dual-channel mode with a 192GB maximum capacity. Expansion includes one full-size PCIe 5.0 x16 slot wired to the CPU and a second PCIe 4.0 x16 slot running at x4 from the chipset.

Storage and Connectivity

Five M.2 sockets provide one PCIe 5.0 x4 slot and four PCIe 4.0 x4 slots, with one also supporting SATA. Four SATA 6Gbps ports are available. Rear I/O offers two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, and two USB 2.0 ports.

Networking and Included Accessories

Networking features a 2.5GbE Intel I219V LAN port alongside Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 via a Realtek module. The package includes a Wi-Fi antenna, two SATA cables, and a thermal pad for M.2 drives.
