Overview

A slim USB-A adapter that connects 2.5-inch SATA drives to a computer. It supports UASP, TRIM, and boot functions for backup, migration, and drive testing.

Design and Build

The adapter measures 70 x 26 x 10 mm and weighs 20 grams including the cable. A matte black finish resists fingerprints. The 20 cm USB-A cable is permanently attached and angled for a low profile.

Performance and Compatibility

The USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface delivers up to 5 Gbps theoretical bandwidth. It is backward compatible with USB 2.0. The SATA 6G interface supports SATA III, II, and I drives. Works with Windows 7 through 11, Server 2008 R2 onward, macOS 10.x+, and Linux kernel 2.6.x+.

Drive Features

Supports UASP for faster transfers and TRIM to maintain SSD speed. S.M.A.R.T. monitoring reports drive health. Boot support allows starting the OS from the connected drive. Hot plug enables drive swaps without rebooting.

Power Management

Draws up to 900 mA from a single USB port to power the adapter and drive. Auto spindown puts the drive to sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity. Turn Off cuts power when the adapter is removed or the PC sleeps. An LED shows power and activity status.
