A compact desktop smart card reader with a fixed 1.2m USB-C cable. It reads contact-based ID, bank, and access cards on computers and mobile devices.

Design and Build

The reader measures 15 by 65 by 82 millimeters and weighs 51 grams. A gray housing with a black cable and connector houses the contact slot. An anti-slip pad prevents sliding during use.

Card Compatibility

The slot accepts ATM, CAC, ID, IC, and SIS cards with visible contacts. It supports ISO 7816 Class A, B, and C cards at 5V, 3V, and 1.8V, plus T=0, T=1, I2C, and SLE protocols.

Performance and Use

The USB 2.0 interface runs at 480 Mbps using the CCID protocol. No drivers are required for the reader itself; only a card-specific application is needed. A smart LED indicates power and data transfer.

Connectivity and Contents

The reversible USB-C plug connects to phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. The package includes the reader with hardwired 1.2m cable and a multilingual manual in over 20 languages.
