Overview

A Micro-ATX motherboard built on the AMD B850 chipset for Socket AM5 processors. It suits builders who want PCIe 5.0 graphics and storage, fast DDR5 memory, and integrated Wi-Fi 6E in a compact layout.

Design and Build

The board uses a black six-layer PCB in Micro-ATX dimensions of 244 mm by 244 mm. A pre-installed I/O shield simplifies installation. VRM and M.2 heatsinks handle thermal loads, while debug LEDs and a BIOS Flashback button aid troubleshooting.

Performance and Memory

Four UDIMM slots accept up to 256 GB of DDR5. Standard speed is 5200 MT/s with AMD EXPO profiles reaching 8200 MT/s when overclocked. The primary PCIe 5.0 x16 slot delivers full bandwidth for modern graphics cards.

Storage and Connectivity

Three M.2 sockets provide one PCIe 5.0 x4 and two PCIe 4.0 x4 interfaces alongside four SATA 6 Gbps ports. Rear I/O includes one USB 3.2 Type-C, three USB 3.2 Type-A, four USB 2.0, 2.5 GbE LAN, HDMI, dual DisplayPort, and three audio jacks.

Wireless and Extras

Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are provided by a Realtek RTL8852CE module. Internal headers cover USB 3.2 Type-C, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, RGB and digital RGB lighting, front-panel audio, SPI TPM, and four 4-pin fan connectors.
