This PCIe x4 adapter adds a single USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port running at 20 Gbps. It fits standard and low-profile desktops and includes a low-profile bracket.

Controller and Interface

The card uses the Asmedia ASM3242 host controller and connects through a PCI Express 3.1a x4 slot. It complies with the xHCI 1.1 and PCI Express Base 3.1a specifications.

Port Performance and Compatibility

The single USB Type-C port delivers up to 20 Gbps and supports all USB transfer modes. It is backward compatible with USB 3.2 Gen 1, USB 3.0, and USB 2.0 devices.

Power and Form Factor

An internal HDD power connector supplies +5V to the port for a maximum output of 15W (5V/3A). The package includes a low-profile bracket for compact chassis installations.

Operating System Support

Drivers are provided for Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 on both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures. The card does not support DisplayPort Alt Mode or USB Power Delivery.
