Overview

This PCIe x1 card adds two internal SATA III ports to a desktop. It fits standard and low-profile cases and works without driver installation on most systems.

Design and Installation

The card uses a single-lane PCIe 2.1 connection compatible with x1 through x16 slots. A low-profile bracket is included for compact chassis. No driver installation is required for supported operating systems.

Performance and Compatibility

The JMB582 chipset delivers up to 6Gbps per port and supports SATA I, II, and III drives of any capacity. Features include NCQ, TRIM for SSDs, hot-plug, and Port Multiplier command-based switching. Boot support is provided through motherboard BIOS or UEFI.

Operating System Support

Compatible with Windows 7 through 11 and Server 2008 through 2022, all 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Linux support requires kernel 2.6.x or newer.
