Intel Core Ultra 9 285 is a 24-core desktop processor for LGA 1851 motherboards. It targets gamers and professionals who need high single-thread speed and efficient multitasking.

Hybrid Architecture and Clock Speeds

The processor combines eight Lion Cove performance cores with sixteen Skymont efficiency cores, totaling 24 threads without SMT. P-cores reach a 5.6 GHz maximum turbo frequency, while E-cores hit 4.6 GHz. Intel Turbo Boost Max 3.0 and Thread Director manage workload distribution automatically.

Memory and Platform Connectivity

The dual-channel controller supports DDR5-6400 UDIMM with ECC capability. The platform provides 20 PCIe 5.0 lanes (16 for graphics, 4 for storage) and 4 PCIe 4.0 lanes for additional NVMe devices. Thunderbolt 5, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 are supported through compatible motherboards.

Integrated Graphics and AI Acceleration

The Xe LPG integrated GPU includes four Xe cores for display output and light compute tasks. An on-die NPU accelerates AI workloads and neural network inference. The chip fits Intel 800-series chipset motherboards with LGA 1851 socket only.
