Overview

An ATX motherboard built on the Intel Z890 chipset for LGA 1851 processors. It suits builders who need high-speed DDR5, PCIe 5.0 graphics and storage, and modern USB4 connectivity.

Design and Cooling

The board uses a black and silver ATX layout measuring 304.8 mm by 243.8 mm. It includes a built-in I/O shield, VRM heatsinks, M.2 heatsinks, and a backplate. Six 4-pin PWM headers and dedicated water-cooling support handle airflow for high-wattage CPUs.

Performance and Memory

Four DDR5 DIMM slots accept up to 256 GB with a standard speed of 6400 MT/s and overclocked speeds up to 8600 MT/s. The CPU draws power through dual 8-pin connectors. AMD EXPO profiles are supported for simplified memory tuning.

Storage and Expansion

Three M.2 slots provide one PCIe 5.0 x4 and two PCIe 4.0 x4 interfaces, one of which also supports SATA. Four SATA 6 Gbps ports are available. Expansion includes one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, two PCIe 4.0 x4 slots, and one PCIe 3.0 x1 slot.

Connectivity and Audio

Rear I/O offers Thunderbolt 4, one USB 3.2 Type-C, six USB 3.0 Type-A, HDMI, and DisplayPort. Networking uses Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port. Audio is handled by a Realtek ALC897 codec. Internal headers include USB 3.2 Type-C, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, RGB, digital RGB, front audio, and SPI TPM.
