Overview

An ATX motherboard built on the Intel Z890 chipset for LGA 1851 Core Ultra processors. It suits enthusiasts who need PCIe 5.0 graphics and storage, high-speed USB4, and robust memory overclocking headroom.

Design and Power Delivery

The board uses a black ATX layout measuring 305 by 244 mm. VRM heatsinks cover the power phases fed by dual 8-pin CPU connectors and a 24-pin ATX header. Six 4-pin PWM headers support fans and pumps, including dedicated CPU and chassis pump headers.

Performance and Storage

A PCIe 5.0 x16 slot runs at full x16 electrical from the CPU. The chipset adds two PCIe 4.0 x4 slots and one PCIe 4.0 x1 slot for 44 total usable lanes. Three M.2 sockets accept 2280, 2580, 22110, and 25110 drives; the top slot is PCIe 5.0 x4 from the CPU, the next two are PCIe 4.0 x4 with one also supporting SATA. Four SATA 6 Gbps ports are available.

Connectivity and Networking

The rear I/O panel provides one USB4 Type-C port at 40 Gbit/s, one USB 3.1 Type-A at 10 Gbit/s, four USB 3.0 Type-A at 5 Gbit/s, and four USB 2.0 Type-A ports. A DisplayPort output and S/PDIF join a 2.5 GbE Intel I219V LAN port and a Realtek RTL8852CE Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth module. Two 3.5 mm analog jacks handle audio via the Realtek ALC897 codec.

Internal Headers and Features

Internal I/O includes one USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C header, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 header for two ports, two USB 2.0 headers for four ports, and dual Thunderbolt headers. RGB lighting is supported through one 12 V 4-pin header and three 5 V 3-pin ARGB headers. Front panel audio, serial port, TPM, Q-Flash, power, reset, and clear CMOS buttons round out the feature set.
