Overview

This aluminum enclosure converts an M.2 SATA SSD into a portable USB-A drive. It supports 2260 and 2280 form factors and works driverless on Windows 7 through 10.

Design and Build

The silver aluminum body measures 110 by 26 by 9 millimeters and weighs 33 grams. The metal casing doubles as a passive heatsink for the installed drive. An LED indicator displays power and data activity.

Drive Compatibility

Accepts one M.2 SATA SSD with B-key notch in 2260 or 2280 length. The SATA 3.0 interface runs at 6 Gbit/s through the AHCI driver. PCIe M-key drives are not supported.

Connectivity and Performance

A built-in USB Type-A male plug connects directly to a host port. The USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface delivers up to 10 Gbit/s bandwidth. No external cable or power adapter is required.

Operating System Support

Works without drivers on Windows 10, 8.1, 8, and 7. The enclosure uses the standard AHCI protocol for broad compatibility across supported Windows versions.
