Overview

A nickel-plated copper replacement heatspreader for delidded AMD Ryzen 7000 and 9000 series processors. It provides a 240% larger surface area for improved cooling with air or liquid coolers.

Design and Materials

The heatspreader is machined from solid copper with a nickel plating. Its surface measures 22 cm², which is 240% larger than the stock integrated heat spreader. A diamond-machined finish creates extremely low roughness for optimal thermal contact.

Thermal Interface Options

The nickel barrier prevents liquid metal from diffusing into copper, reducing alloy formation and eliminating the need for frequent reapplication. Traditional thermal pastes are also supported. For a maintenance-free option, a KryoSheet graphene pad can be used with the included protective cover for the CPU package electronics.

Compatibility and Installation

This unit replaces both the stock heat spreader and the solder-affixed module (SAM) on delidded AMD Ryzen 7000 and 9000 processors, including 9000X3D models. It is designed to mount under standard air coolers and water blocks without modification.
