Overview

A direct-die water block for delidded Intel LGA 1851 processors. It features a nickel-plated copper cold plate, acrylic window, and addressable RGB lighting.

Direct-Die Cooling Design

The cold plate mounts directly onto the exposed CPU die after delidding and ILM removal. A jet-plate structure and optimized channel width target maximum heat transfer. Nickel plating blocks liquid metal diffusion into the copper base.

Construction and Lighting

Tempered acrylic glass sits between the cold plate and an anodized aluminum cover to prevent stress cracking. Addressable RGB LEDs illuminate the acrylic layer and the G1/4 ports via a standard 5V 3-pin motherboard header.

Installation Notes

Delidding voids the CPU manufacturer warranty. Removing the motherboard ILM may void the board warranty. The manufacturer advises against thermal pads such as KryoSheet because added thickness reduces contact pressure and can impair function.
