Overview

A CEB form factor server motherboard built for AMD EPYC 9004 processors. It targets cloud, edge, and telco deployments needing high core counts, massive memory capacity, and fast storage networking.

Compute and Memory Scale

The SP5 socket accepts AMD EPYC 9004 series processors with up to 128 cores and a 400 W TDP. Twelve DDR5-4800 RDIMM slots populate twelve memory channels, delivering a maximum capacity of 3 TB for virtualization, databases, and compute-heavy workloads.

Networking and Expansion

Two SFP28 ports provide 25 Gbit/s each and support teaming for bandwidth aggregation or redundancy. Three PCIe 5.0 x16 slots accommodate high-performance add-in cards and up to two dual-slot GPUs. Eight MCIO connectors enable up to 16 NVMe devices, with two connectors also offering SATA support.

Management and Maintenance

An M.2 2280 slot runs at PCIe 5.0 x4 for fast OS boot and can operate in SATA mode. The integrated ASMB11-iKVM module with an ASPEED AST2600 controller provides out-of-band management independent of the host OS. A Q-Code display, dedicated management LAN, and ASUS Control Center simplify diagnostics and centralized administration.
