Overview

This ATX motherboard pairs the Intel Z890 chipset with an LGA 1851 socket for second-generation Core Ultra processors. It suits enthusiasts building high-performance gaming or workstation systems.

Design and Power Delivery

The board uses an 18+1+2+2 phase VRM arrangement cooled by substantial heatsinks. An integrated I/O shield simplifies installation. Eight 4-pin PWM headers support fans and pumps, while three addressable RGB headers work with Aura Sync lighting.

Memory and Expansion

Four DDR5 DIMM slots accept up to 192 GB at speeds reaching 8800 MT/s with XMP 3.0 and CUDIMM modules. Two full-size PCIe slots provide one PCIe 5.0 x16 and one PCIe 4.0 x4 link for graphics cards and add-in cards.

Storage Connectivity

Seven M.2 sockets cover a mix of CPU and chipset lanes: three run at PCIe 5.0 x4, three at PCIe 4.0 x4, and one supports both PCIe 4.0 x4 and SATA. Four SATA 6 Gbps ports remain available for additional drives.
