Overview

An ATX motherboard built on the AMD X870E chipset for socket AM5 processors. It targets enthusiasts who want PCIe 5.0 graphics and storage, USB4 connectivity, and strong overclocking headroom.

Expansion and Storage

One PCIe 5.0 x16 slot runs at x16, a second PCIe 4.0 x16 slot runs at x4, and a third PCIe 3.0 x16 slot runs at x1. Storage includes two PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slots, two PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slots, and four SATA 6 Gbps ports.

Memory and Overclocking

Four DIMM slots support up to 256 GB of DDR5 CUDIMM or UDIMM. Standard speed is 5,600 MT/s with overclocked profiles reaching 8,400 MT/s via AMD EXPO. The 14+2+1 phase VRM and Clear CMOS button provide stable power delivery for sustained high clocks.

Connectivity

Rear I/O offers two USB4 Type-C ports at 40 Gbps, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, five USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, and four USB 2.0 Type-A ports. Networking uses a Realtek 5 GbE controller, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. Video outputs include HDMI and two USB-C DisplayPort alt-mode connectors.

Cooling and Extras

VRM heatsinks, M.2 thermal shields, and a rear backplate handle heat. Eight 4-pin PWM fan headers and dual 8-pin CPU power connectors support advanced air or liquid cooling. Internal headers include one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 Gen 1, two USB 2.0, RGB and digital RGB, front audio, and SPI TPM.
