Overview

A compact USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet adapter that adds a wired network port to laptops, ultrabooks, and select Android devices. Works with Windows, macOS, and Linux without extra drivers on modern systems.

Design and Connectivity

The adapter uses a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C plug on a 15 cm integrated cable. It provides a single RJ45 jack for UTP or STP cabling. The housing measures 61 x 25 x 17 mm and weighs 23 grams including the cable. Two LEDs show link status and activity.

Performance and Offloads

The Realtek RTL8153 controller handles 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet with full-duplex flow control. It offloads IPv4 and IPv6 checksums, supports TCP Large Send Offload v1 and v2, and processes IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tags and 802.1P priority encoding. Jumbo frames and Auto MDI/MDIX are also supported.

Power Management and Wake Features

Advanced power management includes ACPI, ARP/NS offload, Microsoft AOAC, Intel CPPM, USB Link Power Management, and IEEE 802.3az EEE. Wake-on-LAN works via Magic Packet, Microsoft wake patterns, link change, ECMA-393 proxy, and RealWoW! for remote internet wake-up.

Compatibility and Package Contents

Driverless installation on Windows 8.1 and later, macOS 10.6+, Linux kernel 2.6.14+, and many Android devices. The box includes the adapter with attached cable and a multilingual printed manual.
