Overview

This USB-C adapter connects 2.5-inch SATA SSDs or HDDs to a computer at up to 5 Gbps. It supports UASP, TRIM, and booting, making it suitable for drive cloning, backup, and data recovery.

Design and Build

The adapter measures 70 x 26 x 10 mm and weighs 18 grams including the permanently attached 20 cm USB-C cable. A matte black finish resists fingerprints. The slim, tool-free design allows quick drive swaps without assembly.

Performance and Compatibility

The USB 3.2 Gen 1 connection delivers up to 5 Gbps bandwidth. It supports SATA III 6 Gbps drives and is backward compatible with SATA II and I. UASP and TRIM accelerate SSD transfers and maintain performance. The device works with Windows 7 through 11, Windows Server 2008 R2 onward, macOS 10.x, and Linux kernel 2.6.x or newer.

Drive Management Features

Auto Spindown puts the drive to sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity. Turn Off cuts power when the adapter is unplugged or the host sleeps. Hot Plug and Plug & Play allow drive changes without rebooting. An LED shows power status and data activity.

The box includes the USB-C to SATA adapter with integrated 20 cm cable and a multilingual quick-start guide. No external power supply is required; the adapter draws up to 900 mA from the USB port.
