Overview

A white ATX motherboard built on the AMD B850 chipset for Socket AM5 processors. It suits builders who want PCIe 5.0 graphics and storage support plus Wi-Fi 7.

Design and Cooling

The board uses a white ATX layout with a built-in I/O shield. VRM and M.2 heatsinks cover the 14+2+2 phase power delivery and all three M.2 slots. Six 4-pin PWM headers provide cooling control for fans and pumps.

Memory and Storage

Four DIMM slots support up to 256 GB of DDR5. Standard speed is 5200 MT/s with overclocked support to 8200 MT/s via AMD EXPO and Intel XMP profiles. Storage includes one PCIe 5.0 M.2, two PCIe 4.0 M.2, and four SATA 6G ports.

Connectivity

Rear I/O offers one USB 3.1 Type-C, two USB 3.1 Type-A, five USB 3.0 Type-A, and four USB 2.0 Type-A ports plus a DisplayPort output. Networking uses a Realtek 2.5 GbE controller, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. Internal headers add one USB 3.2 Type-C, one USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, RGB and digital RGB, front audio, and SPI TPM.

Expansion and Power

Three full-size PCIe slots provide one PCIe 5.0 x16 and two PCIe 3.0 x1 electrical connections. CPU power uses one 4-pin and one 8-pin connector. RGB lighting is compatible with Gigabyte RGB Fusion software.
