Overview

This 20-core desktop processor combines eight performance cores and twelve efficiency cores for gaming and heavy multitasking. It fits LGA 1851 motherboards with Intel 800-series chipsets and ships without a cooler.

Hybrid Architecture and Clocks

The chip uses eight Lion Cove performance cores with a 3.9 GHz base and 5.5 GHz single-core turbo, plus twelve Skymont efficiency cores at 3.3 GHz base and 4.6 GHz all-core turbo. Intel Thread Director assigns workloads to the appropriate core type for balanced throughput.

Memory and Platform Features

The dual-channel memory controller supports DDR5 up to 6,400 MT/s and includes ECC capability. The platform provides 20 PCIe 5.0 lanes (16 for GPU, 4 for SSD) and 4 additional PCIe 4.0 lanes for storage. Thunderbolt 5 and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity are enabled through the chipset.

Graphics and AI Acceleration

An integrated Xe LPG GPU with four Xe cores handles display output and light compute without a discrete card. A dedicated NPU accelerates neural-network and AI workloads for emerging applications.

Power and Packaging

Base power is rated at 125 W with a maximum turbo power of 250 W. The processor is sold in tray packaging without a cooling solution, so a compatible LGA 1851 cooler must be sourced separately.
