Overview

This boxed Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF processor features 20 cores with a 5.5 GHz max turbo frequency. It requires an LGA 1851 motherboard with an Intel 800-series chipset and does not include a cooler.

Hybrid Core Architecture

The processor combines eight Lion Cove performance cores and twelve Skymont efficiency cores for a total of twenty threads. Performance cores reach 5.5 GHz single-core turbo while efficiency cores hit 4.6 GHz multi-core turbo. Intel Thread Director manages workload distribution automatically.

Overclocking and Memory

An unlocked multiplier allows independent overclocking and undervolting of both core types. The integrated memory controller supports dual-channel DDR5 UDIMMs up to 6,400 MT/s natively and includes ECC capability for data integrity.

Platform Connectivity

The CPU provides twenty PCIe 5.0 lanes (sixteen for graphics, four for NVMe) and four additional PCIe 4.0 lanes for storage. Platform features include Thunderbolt 5 support up to 120 Gbit/s, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 via compatible motherboards.

AI Acceleration and Package

An integrated NPU accelerates neural network and AI-driven workloads. This boxed retail unit ships without a thermal solution and requires a discrete graphics card. Compatibility is limited to Intel 800-series chipset motherboards with LGA 1851 sockets.
