Overview

An ATX motherboard built on the Intel Z790 chipset for LGA 1700 processors. It supports DDR5 memory, PCIe 5.0 graphics, and extensive M.2 storage.

Thermal Design

An extended heatsink increases surface area for heat dissipation. The VRM heatsink covers the upper MOSFETs and uses 7 W/mK thermal pads plus additional choke pads. A dedicated M.2 Shield Frozr keeps SSDs cool, while the chipset heatsink reduces dust buildup and noise.

Performance and Expansion

The primary PCIe 5.0 x16 slot delivers up to 128 GB/s bandwidth and uses SMT to reduce signal interference. Two additional x16 mechanical slots operate at PCIe 4.0 and 3.0. Four M.2 slots support PCIe 4.0 x4, and two more share bandwidth with SATA. Six SATA 6 Gbps ports are also available.

Connectivity

Rear I/O includes one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, one USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C, two USB 3.0 Type-A, HDMI, and DisplayPort. Internal headers provide one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, four USB 3.0 ports, and four RGB headers. A 2.5 GbE LAN port and Wi-Fi with Bluetooth handle networking.

Power and Extras

Dual 8-pin CPU power connectors supply the 16+1+1 phase VRM. Seven 4-pin fan headers allow extensive cooling control. Debug LEDs assist with troubleshooting. The board uses reinforced, heavy-soldered PCIe slots for heavy graphics cards.
