Overview

This kit provides a metal and plastic guard that blocks thermal paste from collecting in AM5 CPU cut-outs. Ten cleaning wipes are included for simple upkeep.

Design and Function

The cover fits over the AM5 processor heatspreader to seal the lateral cut-outs. Mounting pressure from the cooler pushes excess paste outward, and this guard stops it from settling in the recesses where removal is difficult.
