Overview

This SecuFirm2 mounting kit adapts compatible Noctua low-profile coolers for use on AMD AM5 motherboards. It installs using the existing motherboard backplate.

Socket Compatibility

The kit upgrades Noctua NH-L9a, NH-L9a-AM4, and NH-L9i CPU coolers for AMD AM5 platforms. It is engineered specifically for AM5 to ensure proper fit and contact pressure without cross-platform compromises.

Installation Method

Mounting hardware attaches to the stock AMD backplate pre-installed on the motherboard. Screws pass through the backplate threads into the cooler brackets from the rear, simplifying the process and reducing waste.

Long-Term Value

The kit extends the service life of existing coolers across multiple processor generations. Reusing a heatsink instead of replacing it reduces electronic waste and saves resources.
