Overview

This SecuFirm2 upgrade kit lets you install Noctua CPU coolers with 83mm mounting pitch onto AMD AM5 and AM4 platforms. It uses the stock motherboard backplate and includes black mounting bars and thumb screws.

Design and Compatibility

The kit is built for Noctua coolers using an 83mm mounting pitch. It is not compatible with 78mm pitch models, which require the MP78 version. The chromax.black finish matches the stealth aesthetic of Noctua's black cooler line.

Installation and Performance

Mounting bars attach directly to the pre-installed AMD backplate, reducing waste and simplifying the process. High-grade coil springs deliver precise contact pressure without guesswork, protecting the socket from over-tightening.

Long-Term Value

The upgrade path supports coolers 15 years or older, extending hardware lifespan across multiple CPU generations. This approach reduces electronic waste and saves resources compared to buying new heatsinks.
