Overview

This PCIe 3.0 adapter adds one NVMe and one SATA M.2 slot to a desktop. It fits standard and low-profile cases.

Design and Build

The card measures 142 mm by 64 mm with a 12 mm profile. Copper-plated vents help dissipate heat from both SSDs. A standard bracket is installed and a low-profile bracket is included for slim cases.

Performance and Use

The PCIe 3.0 x4 link delivers up to 8 GB/s bidirectional bandwidth. Both M.2 slots operate simultaneously. The adapter supports booting from either drive and works with single-sided or double-sided modules of any capacity.

Compatibility and Features

Compatible with PCIe 1.0a through 3.0 slots (x4, x8, x16). Requires a SATA data cable connection for the SATA M.2 slot. Supports Windows 7 through 10, Server 2008 R2 through 2016, and Linux kernel 2.6.31 or newer. No driver installation needed.
